HEALTH
The Town of Duck offers free yoga classes on Tuesday mornings on the Duck town green. Sponsored by Village Realty, you’ll love the all-levels yoga class offered by Village Yoga. Great for beginners or the most experienced yogi, this class is held outdoors and the vibe is awesome! I suggest arriving early because these classes are always a huge hit! Bring a yoga mat or a beach towel and a water. Yoga begins at 7:15am!
EVENT
Do you like free vacations? Do you have mad cornhole skills? Well look no further! Currituck County offers a weekly cornhole tournament on Wednesdays at the Whalehead Club. Limited to 16 teams per week, the tournament offers awesome prizes each week with all weekly winners being added to an end of Summer drawing for a free vacation donated by Brindley Beach Vacations. ART
Monday evenings are for brews and art! Join the Outer Banks Brewing Station for their weekly Brew and Arts with all local vendors, craftspeople and artists. This event is weather permitting as it is held in the backyard of the Brewing Station. You can expect to be blown away by the variety of local artists and the incredible talent of Outer Banks crafters! Enjoy a beer from the Brewing Station's very own wind-powered brewery and stay for one of the best meals on the beach! The fun kicks off at 5pm and wraps up around 8pm now through August 26th.

Sisters Boutique in Duck
Known for their beautiful clothing and unique storefront in Manteo, Sisters Boutique is now open at their second location in Duck! I’m so excited to have another great shopping location close to home. With great gift options, home decor and carefully selected clothing pieces, this store is a quick front runner in Duck. I’m sneaking in to snag the Breakfast in Bed graphic tee this weekend and I know I’ll find many more treasures in store! Open daily from 10a-9p in the Scarborough Lane shops! EAT
With two brand new locations, the Cookshak Fried Chicken is a great place for a quick and affordable bite to eat. Plus, they’re offering a delivery option which is always a win in our book! Homestyle recipes and local owners make this new walk up style restaurant a quick favorite. With locations in Duck and in Nags Head, you are never too far from a Cookshak here on the OBX!
PLAY
The Town of Nags Head and Dowdy Park are offering free concerts throughout the Summer and you won’t want to miss these family friendly events. While kids dance and play at the playground, adults are able to enjoy the live music and conversation with family and friends. The remaining July headliners are crowd pleasers so bring a beach chair or a blanket and a picnic for dinner and enjoy!
Concerts are held on Wednesdays from 6-8 at Dowdy Park in Nags Head.
STAY
While I usually only add locally owned places to my bucket lists, I had to break stride and add the brand new Towneplace Suites by Marriott to our July Bucket List! I love that this brand new, extra squeaky clean hotel is giving more families and couples the chance to vacation when they may not be able to afford a multi-bedroom beach home rental. The new hotel rooms offer small kitchens allowing you to prepare a midnight vacation snack or store leftovers from your favorite local restaurant. Plush beds and clean rooms will make your stay comfortable. Outside, you’ll find an area to grill burgers and cozy spots to lounge. We love staying through Marriott because they offer family suites and with multiple children, the family suites are perfect for us!
