Have you been to the Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills? If the piers were all considered "sisters" around here, the Avalon Pier is 100% the quirky middle sister who wears hand me down clothes but still always looks cute. You know her! You love her!
We LOVE this pier. It has a bar. It has an arcade. It offers incredible fishing. It has a bar. The views are stunning. It's so kid friendly with snacks and ice cream. It has a bar. There is plenty of parking and you can go put your toes in the sand before you leave. Oh, did I mention that it has a bar?
It's a MUST visit on your Outer Banks vacation and as a local, it's a great way to spend an afternoon and you're sure to run into some friends!
